November 17, 2001 Rev. Nunnally, Ken McClure and Jimmy Campbell braved the old, treacherous, steep roof to cover a hole in one side that needed to be dealt with until we get our new roof on. Chris Hoover, Thomas Parsons, Jimmy Campbell and W. R. Bowden began tearing off the dilapidated back porch and Johnny Williams put a good dent in some brush clearing out back. Later on in the day, W. R. Bowden started really taking some big bites out of the thick brush with his tractor. Jerry McClure and Kevin Stingley arrived just in time to help in hackin' and stackin' the brush to be burned. We were all wide open with machetes, axes and chainsaws and made a great showing. We are heading in the right direction to salvaging this very unique treasure we have in our town. |
